NDI Summer Recital A Stunner

NDI-summer-recital-wingsOn July 23rd, 2015, four SGHY scholarship students from MS 302 in the Bronx participated in a stunning NDI summer recital of dance, song and international culture at the National Dance Institute’s (NDI) Center for Learning & the Arts at
217 West 147th Street.  Honoring NDI founder Jacques D’Amboise, more than 25 dancers and musicians …and a fantastic cultural dance troupe from China poured their considerable creative accomplishments into multiple performances.

Each year, the Irene Diamond Summer Institute at NDI serves 9-14 year-olds in comprehensive intensive dance and music instruction. Students attend sessions Monday through Friday, from 10am-4pm, for four weeks and study fundamental ballet, modern, tap and jazz technique with an emphasis on musicality and performance quality. Classes in instrumental and vocal music complement the Summer Institute dance curriculum.  The culmination of this exceptional program is the NDI Summer Recital.
